I lost a lot of money gambling online. Should I risk more to make back my losses or just quit with a big loss?

Over the past 6 months I lost a substantial sum with online gambling. Early on I was making a healthy profit but my luck changed. Should I give up now or try to win back my losses?

Quit while you can

The house always wins – Give up now.
The chances of you winning are low, if they were high, gambling sites would have gone bankrupt ages ago.

never gamble more than you can afford to lose. If you can’t afford to lose anymore, then stop gambling.

you should probably attend an AA meeting, because everyone in their right mind knows that if you risk more to try and make up your losses you’ll just get even deeper in the hole you dug for yourself, so good luck with that.
my advice would be just get a job and get money from there instead of relying on gambling money that you will never win.

Honestly you should quit. Also I would suggest you seek out some counseling for possible Gambling addiction you have the classic signs of addiction. Just a suggestion.

Quit with a big loss now mate or find your self well in the. You are a bookmaker and casinos dream, people chase their losses all the time, get out while you still can.

Quit now. Use that as a learning experience, think of it as “I paid this much to learn gambling.” Get on freeroll and earn a little and gain instead of putting in your own money.

Try using some no deposit bonuses to play for a while, then take advantage of the purchase match offers from casinos so you will have more to play with and a better chance of winning.
You can find a good list here.
Good luck!

Quit. Sounds like either the odds are panning out or you were suckered pretty bad.

I have struggled with this myself. I lost $20,000 gambling in July. I tried to recoup it in August. Lost $12,000 more. I am now seeing a therapist to deal with my gambling addiction. Quit while you can. Trust me – its not worth the depression and the choices that you are forced to make (and the choices that you force others to make).
